Are You Serious?!!?

Really, are you serious?!? Those are my exact words when my Samuel came up to me yesterday! His friends were over and he walks out of the house with the arms cut out of his super cute Spider Man tee shirt. Yes, he had cut the arms out of his tee shirt because he wanted to "show his guns" off to his girl friend. (yup, girlfriend. She happens to be the daughter of the man who was the stranger from our stranger danger incident.) He keeps asking "are you ready for the gun show?" I'll admit, I kind of laughed a bit, but really? did he have to cut off the arms? He said he wanted a muscle shirt. Really? He could have asked me to buy him a certain kind of shirt, or he could have just rolled up the sleeves a bit. Really? What am I going to do with this boy? And another thing! He keeps turning his hat to the side! I hate it!!! He looks like a gangster from the hood! I am constantly turning it the right way. I think he does it because it bothers me. Did I mention he has a girlfriend? The kindergarten teacher says she has never, in all 30 years, seen anything like this. He will get her coat, hold the door, get her back pack, hold her chair while she sits down, wait for her in line, and the list goes on. Where does he get these things? It must be the Latin Lover in him. HE IS ONLY SIX!!!!!

Time Out

We have been doing time out's with Isabella for a few months. Most of the offenses are for biting. Lauren has bruises and bandaids and teeth marks up and down both arms from Isabella biting her. Isabella is getting to know the routine of time out and then saying sorry with a hug. Doesn't she look so big on this chair? What happened? My baby is getting so big!

Sprinkler Fun

We finally had some nice warm weather! Sprinkler season has started.
I would think it would be too cold, but for a kid, this is so fun!!!

Sunday Morning

I have been trying to get a good typical Sunday morning pic...you can see why. :) For some unknown reason, Isabella wanted nothing to do with getting her picture taken.
Anyone know a good photographer?

Silly Lauren!

Lauren loves to shave with her dad. :) It is so cute! She creams up her face, just like dad, and then she uses a razor that doesn't have the blade attached and she shaves, just like dad. I think I have 3 or 4 pic's of her doing this at different ages. Silly Lauren!

Silly Samuel!

Another self portrait compliments of Samuel. I find these random pictures on my camera. I hide the camera, but he always seems to find it, take some pic's, then return it.

Silly Samuel! So random!

Silly Bella!

I got this picture too late, but Isabella was throwing flour everywhere!!! This picture didn't capture what was really happening, but I am still finding flour in my kitchen. Silly Bella!

My Little Violinist

Lauren had another little concert where she played all the Twinkle Variations. I am not so sure about this violin thing...I had to play with her!!! I didn't sign up for that! I can play the Twinkles and I am learning Lightly Row, but only on a small violin. Needless to say, Lauren will out play me in no time! She loves to perform. It is amazing that she isn't nervous, but excited about when it is her turn to play. She really wants to play like the big kids. Keep practicing girlfriend!

We (and I really mean we) worked really hard to earn this Twinkle Trophy! It was a full week of endless Twinkle variations that took almost an hour each day in order to pass them off. It could take much less time if someone would FOCUS! I am so glad we made it through the Twinkle week. Lauren is so proud of her trophy. I am so glad to see that she is taking pride in her hard work. She won't let anyone touch it, just to look with their eyes. :) We are moving forward with other great music. Her teacher is amazing with her! So patient and has so many great idea's to help her play better. We are very blessed to have such a wonderful teacher!
