Race for the Cure 2011
Doing the Race for the Cure is a yearly event that I look forward to! I love seeing the mass of people, that have in one way or another, been effected by breast cancer. It make me feel not so alone. This year I had my two cute nieces walk with us. Heidi came with us as well as Linda with her two and Angela with her cute little guy.

Sleeping Partners
How would you like to sleep like this? They both slept so great all night long. Not sure I would sleep so well...Don't you just love the eye masks? Zoe wouldn't keep hers on, but Lauren likes to at least start out with it on.
I love having my cute nieces over! Zoe and Jenna spent the night and then did the Race for the Cure with us the next morning. These girls have so much fun together. But, I swear, they must have worn all of Lauren's clothes that she has in her room. Why do girls have to change clothes 20 times a day? I don't get it! I don't remember doing that when I was there age...but, I also don't have the fashion sense that Lauren and Zoe have. Lauren comes up with the cutest outfits! She is contently getting compliments on her outfits. I can take no credit, except for having them in her room. I do have veto power, but beyond that, I have no control. It is not worth the huge fight or battle that will ensue. All I can do is veto something that I deem inappropriate. Occasionally, I can talk her into wearing something specific that I want her to wear, but usually I find it isn't worth it. What is my life going to be like in 10 years? At least I can veto and at least I can teach her and enforce modest clothing, right?

Mascara
I found her trying to apply mascara this morning in the bathroom. My make-up is not accessible for obvious reasons (see above photo), so...how did she get the mascara you may ask? It was a Lancome sample kept in a travel bag buried deep in the back of a bathroom shelf. How in the world did she find it?! Of course she found it and was trying to use it appropriately. Now that is a tich un-nerving - kids learn the darnest things!

Gum....
Yes, this is gum that she has so beautifully decorated her face with. She was so proud of her creation and so sad when I took it away from her. I thought I it all away from her, then I hear her complaining that it is stuck behind her neck. I look back at her and find that she has a string of gum going around her neck like a necklace. I finally got all the gum away from her!
